Christmas Village in Philadelphia is committed to providing an accessible experience for all visitors.

To improve accessibility throughout the event, ground cables are routed overhead where possible to create smooth pathways for visitors using wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

For the 2026 season, vendor booths will operate with counter-service access rather than walk-in entry, helping provide a more equal and consistent experience throughout the market.

Accessible parking is available at the LOVE Park Garage with elevator access leading directly to LOVE Park and the Christmas Village area. Love Park Garage can be entered through entrances at Cherry Street (1520 Cherry St.) and at Arch Street (1500 Arch St.).

Christmas Village is a rain or shine event and will be open under most weather conditions. The event will close early on heavy rain/snow days and will be completely closed when the weather conditions are supposed to be horrible throughout the day.

We will keep you updated on the website as well as our Social Media Channels (@philachristmas) in case we are planning to close early.

There is plenty of space around the venue in general to leave your bike. As a courtesy to fellow visitors, we kindly ask you to lock your bike nearby before entering the festival venue, even if you are just strolling around.

Indego Bike Sharing

For Indego riders there are bikeshare station right next to the event. The closest stations to the event are Municipal Services Building Plaza and 15^th & Market. Find latest information to indego here.

Feel free to bring your dog! Christmas Village in Philadelphia is a dog-friendly event. We allow dogs in the whole outdoor area (exception: dogs are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending area). Please keep in mind that the area gets pretty crowded on weekend days, which might be uncomfortable for your dog.

Christmas Village is a family friendly event, so make sure to bring the whole family down including the youngest in their strollers! Please note: Strollers are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending tent, so please make sure to park your stroller before entering this German Christmas wonderland!

Are you looking for kids activities this holiday season in Philadelphia? Take a ride on our double-decker carousel, enjoy a birds-eye view of Center City on our Ferris Wheel or take your kids or grand children on a train ride on our kids train. Losing something on a family trip is a bummer but it can happen. Make sure to stop by at the Christmas Village Info Booth to check if your wallet or whatever you have lost has been turned in. If not, leave your contact info to make sure we can contact you in case it turns up after you have left. A staff member will assist you in dealing with the police if necessary.

Most vendors – but not all - accept credit cards. If you are running low on cash, most major banks have locations around the venue with ATMs. Due to this there are no ATMs on the event. 

If you have been to Christmas markets in Germany, you might know the Glühwein mugs which change their layout every year. Christmas Village in Philadelphia has them as well! Glühwein is served exclusively in those mugs, for non-alcoholic beverages they are optional.

Unlike in Germany, we do not have a mug return system. Once bought, the mug is yours to take home. They are beautiful and are a great eye catcher in your shelf!
