Christmas Village in Philadelphia, presented by OneMain Financial wants to thank all visitors, vendors, artists, promoters, suppliers, contractors and our staff for a phenomenal 2012 season.
With more than 500,000 visitors the 5th season of Christmas Village reached another all time record! People enjoyed our greatest ever vendor selection and quality for shopping and food. Our amazing stage performances got thousands of people excited who stopped to watch the wonderful choirs, bands and singers.
A special thanks goes to the City of Philadelphia and their wonderful employees who put so much effort in making Christmas Village happen!

Opening Hours on Christmas Eve: 11am to 5pm
(12/23/2012) Tomorrow, on Christmas Eve, we will be open from 11am until 5pm! So there is still time to buy unique Christmas gifts in the very last minute! Or enjoy our original German Bratwurst at our German Grill Booth for the last time this year!

We have over 60 vendors selling ornaments, art & craft, jewlery and much more from all over the world! Christmas Village - the perfect place to find your gifts! This will be the last weekend of the Christmas Village in 2012! Make sure to celebrate it with us to get into the right Christmas mood!
Make-A-Wish Fundraiser weekend - presented by OneMain Financial on Dec 15th & 16th
(12/14/2012) It is important for us at the Christmas Village, not only to help bring the Christmas cheer to Philadelphia, but it is also important for us to give back to the community.
Make-a-Wish foundation is one of the nation’s leading charities. For over thirty years, Make-A-Wish has made wishes to children with life threatening diseases come true. From sending kids to Disneyland to having kids meet their sports idol, Make-A-Wish allows dreams of adolescents, who are struggling to make it every day, becomes reality. It’s fair to say, no other organization in the world makes as many wishes come true.
Help us raise money for The Make-A-Wish Foundation!
Tell everyone your wish and help create a giant wishwall in LOVE Park. Buy a wish-hanger at our Information booth for four dollars and one dollar will be donated to Make-A-Wish.
Moonlight-Shopping on Dec 15th
On Dec 15th we will offer you the wonderful experience to explore the Christmas Village at night.
Our vendors will be opened until 10 p.m. selling their unique and international arts and crafts, jewelry and ornaments. Come down to LOVE Park on Dec. 15th and enjoy the Christmas Village scenery with thousands of lights and a cup of hot chocolate to stay warm!
German-American Weekend: Performances on Dec 8th and Dec 9th
(12/07/2012) Like every year we will have a lot traditional german performances including:
- United German Hungarians
- Donauschwaben - GTV Almrausch
- The Hardford German Choir
These performances will of course be free of charge. We do encourage visitors to try any one of our 60 vendors which offer all kinds of German food and drink, especially our Gluehwein, which is the drink of choice for most Germans when they visit a Christmas Market. The Weihnachtshütte (Christmas tent) will be selling an assortment of food like bratwurst, spicy sausage (with sauerkraut), leberkäs, German potato salad, landjäger, pretzels etc.
The German-American Weekend would not be complete without our imported German vendors who will be selling hand-made and glass-blown ornaments, frosted nuts, honey and the list goes on of different things visitors can use to decorate their homes. These vendors have traveled long and far, and are proud to share the German culture to the Philadelphia community.
The event will be taking place on December 8th from 11 am-8 pm and December 9th between 11 am-7pm.

Tomorrow: LOVE Weekend on Dec 1st and 2nd
(11/30/2012) LOVE is in the air at the Christmas Village on this special weekend! Grab your beloved ones and come down to LOVE park to get yourself in the right Christmas mood!
Our vendors will bring along a large variety of merchandise related to our motto, “We LOVE Christmas.” We will have handmade ornaments which have written LOVE Park on them, canvas pictures with the LOVE sign and so much more. Of course they will still be offering their unique arts and crafts, ornaments and so on.

Tomorrow: Grand Opening Ceremony with the original Christkind from Germany!
(11/23/2012) Tomorrow, the public is invited to join us for our grand opening ceremony in LOVE Park with the original Christkind from Nuremburg. Coming from one of the oldest Christmas Markets in the world, she will give us the honor of speaking her traditional prologue, which she also speaks in Germany at 2:15 p.m. The Opening Ceremony comes with wonderful performances by a local choir and a marching band, so you can get into the spirit of the holiday season with your friends and family. Don't miss out on our food stands as well, with traditional european food, desserts and drinks, everyone is sure to find something they like.
Make sure to get a photo with the Christkind during her traditional walk of the market. In Germany, she is the person who brings the Christmas gifts to the kids and she won’t be coming empty-handed!
Furthermore we are proud to announce that Liberty USO is teaming up with Christmas Village this year to help spread the Christmas spirit to our troops this holiday season! At at November the 24th Christmas Village will be a drop-off location for this cause and we are asking you to help collect for Operation Stocking Stuffers - for more info click here.

Christmas Village is coming back in 2012
Christmas Village is coming back to LOVE Park for the 2012 holiday season! Over 60 vendors in 90 different booths will be selling international ornaments, jewelry, and a variety of arts and crafts. Come and enjoy traditional German food and hot beverages, while checking out some new attractions on top of all the other cool stuff we offered last year. More information coming soon, so stay tuned!
